About
Why PairXO exists
Planning a date or a gift for someone you are close to often means guessing. PairXO swaps the guessing for a short list made by the person it is for.
The problem it solves
One person usually knows what he would enjoy: the restaurant he keeps mentioning, the film he wants to see, the jacket in his size. The other person wants to surprise him and does not want to ask outright, or to overspend. The ideas end up scattered across chats and screenshots, and the budget question never gets asked at all.
PairXO puts the ideas on one page he controls. She chooses from it, so the result still feels like her choice, and nothing on the page tells her what anything costs.
What it does, and what it does not
- It holds date options, a gift list and asks for gift cards or cash, on one private page per account.
- It lets the owner decide, person by person, which of those sections someone sees, and keeps a budget in the background if he sets one.
- It lets the other person plan a date, reserve a gift or promise to cover an ask, and tells the owner.
- It does not take payments, book tables or deliver gifts. Those still happen the usual way.
- It has no public profiles, no feed and no search. A page is only reachable by the people it was shared with.
Pink, blue and plain
The site comes in two looks: a pink one for her and a blue one for him. You pick on your first visit and can switch at any time with the Her and Him buttons in the header. The choice is kept in a single cookie. It sets the colours and which side the demo starts on; your page and what others see on it stay the same. Skip the question and you get a plain look.
Who runs it
PairXO has no advertising and no analytics or tracking scripts on its pages. If something does not work, or you want your data removed, the contact form reaches the people who run it.
Start with one page and one person
Make the page, add a few ideas and share it with the one person you have in mind. You can change everything later.
